Aronyan, Carlsen share 3rd position after final round
In the final, 13th round of the Wijk aan Zee chess tournament, Armenian grand master Levon Aronyan made peace with Holland's Ian Smith, the Armenian sports website Armsport.am reported.
All other matches in this round also ended in a draw.
After the final, Aronyan and Magnus Carlsen (Norway) appeared on the 3rd position of the tournament list, each having eight points.
Hikaru Nakamura (US) became the tournament's winner with nine points. India's Viswanathan Anand who had 8.5 points won the second place.
