Republican spokesman recommends Tsarukyan to refrain from statements on his party
The Republican Party has never voiced any opinion on its partners from Prosperous Armenia, the spokesman of the Republican Party of Armenia, Edward Ssharmazanov, told a news conference on Monday.
"I don't think the public concerns over the possible leader of our coalition partner pursue constructive goals. The Republican [party] has never said anything either of Prosperous Armenia or its leader Gagik Tsarukyan. And mutually, I'd recommend Tsarukyan to follow the same policy," he said, commenting on Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan's recent statement that Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharyan, could have become the Republican party's leader if he wished so.
"The Republicans support their leader Serzh Sargsyan, and are willing to accomplish his pre-electoral program as well as continue the implementation of other reform programs," he said.
