Snowstorm lowers visibility on highways

The heavy snowfall throughout the country has closed Selim mountain pass and the highways to the towns of Talin, Maralik, Gyumri and Ashotsk, the Ministry of Transport and Communication told Tert.am.

The road section between the Aparan and Kuchak is overwhelmed in blizzard, while the visibility on the road to Vayk is reported to be very low – between five and seven meters.

As early as a couple of hours ago, Yerevan-Sevan highway was also closed for traffic, but it has now opened.
Sources told Tert.am that Yerevan-Hrazdan highway has also closed down due to snowfalls.
