Highways are open, despite snowfalls

Despite the recent snowfalls in some towns and villages of Armenia, highways are open for traffic, the Ministry of Transport and Communication reported.

Between 7:00 am and 9:00 am, certain sections on Artik-Aragats , Alaverdi-Noyemberyan, Yeghegnadzor-Vayk highways, as well as several roads in Gegharkunik Region were reported to be under ice cover.

The weather in most parts of the country is fine and sunny. There are snowfalls in the towns of Sisian, Goris, Kapan, Meghri and Vayk.

Mountain passes are open.
