Armenian president attends opening of ART EXPO-2011

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited Friday the Artists' Union of Armenia to attend the opening of ART EXPO-2011.

The event was organized upon the initiative of the Armenian Ministry of Culture and Expomedia center.

The President toured the premises and observed the pavilions representing over fifty state and non-governmental cultural organizations - museums, exhibitions, theaters, concert and festival associations, the Armenian leader's press service reported.

He also familiarized himself with those organizations' 2010 projects and achievements.

Samples of historical-cultural heritage and non-tangible culture, as well as the Armenian cinema art, cultural education, publications, albums and disk records were showcased at the exhibition.

The president also visited the presentation hall which will host film screenings and lectures by cultural organizations.
