Emma Watson becomes Elle Style Awards winner

Harry Potter star Emma Watson was crowned Monday nigth a Style Icon at the Elle Style Awards.

The 20-year-old Watson who has been in the spotlight since age 10 avoided saying whether she sees her future in film or modelling but said she loved fashion and just wanted to "have fun with it", SkyNews.com reported.

The star, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Potter series, turned heads with a dramatic image change last year.

Alexa Chung, who was hosting the magazine bash in central London, commended Watson's bravery, saying: "I loved how she chopped her hair as soon as the Harry Potter franchise wrapped."

Watson's sense of style has been closely followed since she scored a multi-million pound deal with Burberry and launched her own range under the organic and fair trade label People Tree.
