February 19 - Book Gifting Day

February 19 is announced as a book gifting day in Armenia in honor of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan.

As the day coincides with the Armenian church holiday of St Sargis [the patron of the young and those in love], all loving couples are invited to the park outside Cascade Complex to take part in a book gifting ceremony.

The event is organized upon the initiative of Granish Literary Club.

Granish is a non-commercial project aimed at boosting interest in Armenian literature and modern Armenian writers.

The project was launched in 2009 by Armenian poet Karen Antashyan.
