Orange telecom launches new service for cinema-goers
Armenia's leading mobile operator, Organge Telecom, has launched Orange Kino service to enable its voice services subscribers to invite friends to the cinema any day of the weerk, says a release issued by the company
“Over the course of its one-year activity in Armenia Orange has mostly organized musical events and activities, " Orange CEO Bruno Duthoit said.
"As today marks the first day spring, we decided to launch this service as a surprise for cinephiles. Today also marks the start of our long-term partnership with Moscow Cinema theater in Yervan and Hoktember cinema theater in Gyumri. Our new partners will surely join our efforts to boost interest in cinema art in Armenia. Due to Orange Kino service, films in cinema houses will run on all days of the week."
Becoming available in many world's countries with different names, this service has provoked interest in cinema art.
“ We beleive that film watching becomes more interesting, if you have someone accompanying you. That’s why we launched Orange Kino, to enable our subscribers to go to the cinema with a friend," said Orange Marketing Director Aram Mkrtchyan.
"Our preliminary studies revealed that our subscribers mostly don't attend cinemas because of high ticket prices. From now on, the price will no longer be an obstacle."
The subscribers of Let’s Talk, Every Month and Business tariff plans can use once daily.
To activate the service they are required to send the word “kino” to 5555 short number. Thereafter, they receive a code which has to be submitted to the cimema house for obtaning tickets.
To be able to use the service, subscribes should have a minimum amount of 2,000 drams (about $7.5) on their balance.
Orange Kino is already available in Yerevan. The Orange subscribers in the second largest town of Gyumri will be able to activate the service starting from next week.
