Sarah Connor concert in Yerevan canceled

A long-waited concert with the participation of the famous German singer Sarah Connor that was to take place in Yerevan has been cancelled after a few adjournments, the organizer said.

Initially the concert was scheduled on February 14 and was then delayed till 19. However the organizers have now said for once and for all that the concert will not take place.

Armenian singers Ara Martirosyan, Sirusho, and the soloist of the Moldovan group Ozon, Arsenia, were also expected to take part in the concert in Karen Demirchyan Complex in Yerevan.

Earlier, the organizer, VH Music producing centre, had said that the concert would be postponed due to “technical problems.” Sara Connor, it had said, required such equipments that cannot be found in Armenia.

The organizers had then reportedly promised to solve all those problems before the concert date.

VH Music has promised to return the money of those tickets sold already, but in “stage by stage”.

Ara Martirosyan and Sirusho Production may file a lawsuit against VH Music for breaching the provisions of their contract.

No money has so far been paid back for the sold tickets, though the company said the money would be returned at an office located on Isahakyan 28 Street.
