Women's association funds renovation of art school in Yerevan

An Armenian women's association, Welcome to Armenia, last year allocated funds for the renovation of the Maluntsyan Art School in Yerevan.

As the repairs have drawn to an end, the association, which is headed by Natalia Nalbandyan, the wife of the Armenian foreign minister, organized yesterday a concert at the school with the participation of its young students.

The funding for the concert was provided out of the proceeds of a December 11, 2011 New Year charity fair organized by the association, the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

In her speech at the Thursday concert, Nalbandyan thanked all the participants of the fair, as well as the ambassadors accredited to Armenia and other individuals and organizations who assisted in the initiative. She also congratulated the school's teachers and wished them success in the renovated building.
