Hovik Abrahamyan hands over medal to Svetlana Grigoryan

Chairperson of Armenia’s National Assembly visited famous Armenian theater actress Svetlana Grigoryan on Wednesday and handed over a medal she had been awarded earlier.

Accompanied by Armenia’s Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, Hovik Abrahamyan visited the actress in her house and handed the “Medal of Honor” awarded by the president.

According to a press release by Armenia’s parliament, Svetlana Grigoryan had due to health problems been unable to attend the award-giving ceremony held at the parliament earlier and receive the medal in person.

Abrahamyan congratulated Grigoryan on the occasion of the Day of Motherhood and Beauty celebrated on April 7 in Armenia and wished her a quick recovery, success and fruitful activities.

The visit by the parliament’s chairperson has come as a surprise to Svetlana Grigoryan, who thanked Hovik Abrahamyan for it and gave him a book she authored.

Svetlana Grigoryan is an actress at the Hakob Paronyan State Musical Comedy Theater. She has performed several roles, among them also the best-known play “Taxi-Taxi”.
