Google’s Android to lead smartphone market

Analysts claimed that the growing Google’s Android Base phones increased the market share of the Smartphones in the year 2011, USA Market News reported.

The phones made by Samsung and HTC reported higher sales as the platforms from Android enhanced their compatibility and giving them edge in the Smartphone market.

Gartner, a research firm, forecasted that the Smartphones would rise 58.00% during the current year and 35.00% in the next year. Nokia’s Symbian based mobile software leads the market share last year followed by the Android, had lost is market share to almost 19.00% in comparison with the 2011 market share.

However, Nokia finally decided to unload the symbian software to launch Window operating system base mobiles, by joining hands with the Microsoft. Apple’s iPhone software will be fractionally bigger than Symbian in recent year, whereas Research In Motion would hold 13.00% of the market more over at the bottom Microsoft Windows Phone remained with 6.00%.

On the basis of declining market share and uncertain deal with MSFT Moody’s cut its credit rating on Nokia. On Thursday, HTC supersede Nokia in market capitalization for the first time. Nokia reported higher volumes as it sold 19 phones for each HTC phone sold during past year. But its normal sale price was $85.00 in comparison with the HTC’s $360.00.

Meanwhile, Facebook grouped with some of tech hardware’s giants such as HP, Dell, AMD, and Intel to launch the open compute project. The project was launched to offer specifications and designs for more power efficient computers that would be purposely produced for running Internet services, shared openly with other companies.
