Hackers access personal data of 77 million PlayStation users
Hackers stole the personal details of 77 million Sony PlayStation customers and shut down Sony's online gaming network for a week, Abc.net reported.
The company has now revealed via a blog that there was an "illegal and unauthorised intrusion" two weeks ago, and that hackers obtained critical information like customer telephone numbers, birth dates and credit card details.
Cyber security experts in Australia are now accusing the company of failing in its duty of care to its customers.
