Armenian ensemble wins main prize at Russian festival

Armenian song ensemble Zorakan has won the main prize of the Russian annual song festival of military songs Vivat Pobeda.

The festival was held in Zelenograd, a town in the vicinity of Moscow, from April 28 to May 2.

The festival has been organized for the 12th consecutive year now.

Armenia has been taking part in it for eight times, each time wining one of the prizes.

This year the festival was dedicated the 70th anniversary of Moscow’s defense during the World War II.

A total of 24 countries from the Commonwealth of Independent Countries took part in the festival.
