Emmy to perform in Eurovision first semi-final today

Emmy, Armenia’s participant to the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 will perform her song Boom-Boom at the first semi-final in Dusseldorf, Germany, on Tuesday.

Emmy will perform under number four. Boom-Boom has been written by Apricota.

Participants from 18 countries will also take part in the first semi-final.

The second semi-final will take place on Wednesday. The final will be held on May 14.

Armenia took part in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2006. Armenian singer Andre performed then his Without Your Love, winning the 8th place.

In 2007 Anytime You Need led Armenian singer Hayko to the 8th place too.

Sirusho, another Armenians singer, won the 4th place with her Kele, Kele in 2008, while Inga and Anush Arshakyan sisters were far behind in 2009, winning the 10th place – the poorest result since Armenia started to regularly take part in this song contest.

Armenia’s 2010 contender, Eva Rivas, won the 7th place with her Apricot Stone.
