Eva Rivas undergoes surgery

Singer Eva Rivas who represented Armenia in the Eurovision 2010 Song Contest has undergone a surgery.

Employees at a Yerevan maternity house told Tert.am that the singer had been operated on in their clinic, but refused to give further details.

Rivas was scheduled to take part in KOHAR symphony orchestra's May 28 concert dedicated to Armenia's First Republic Day.

Speaking to Tert.am, Aram Harutyunyan, a co-founder of Domino Production Company which had organized the concert, denied earlier reports that Rivas felt unwell during a rehearsal.

He said the singer did not take part in the rehearsals at all.
