First Armenian horror film goes on screen (trailer)

The first ever horror movie produced by Armenian film-makers will soon be presented to the Armenian spectator.

"Rage" will go on screen at the Moscow cinema house on June 10. It is a full length movie (105 minutes) featuring a love triangle.

The main heroes– Hasmik, Gor and Jacque – are young people who fall into adventures and horror throughout the entire story. The plot was created by script writer Tatevik Ktoyan and a team of young authors.

Hasmik and Jacque spend a honeymoon in their house situated in the resort town of Dilijan. But their happiness turns into a nightmare once the ghost of the third hero – Gor – penetrates into their dwelling. Saddened to death for losing his loved creature, the young man had hung himself in a psychiatric hospital.

"I am enthusiastic and ready even to shoot the 50th movie," the film's director, Nairi Hakobyan, told Tert.am.

Porducer Samvel Sahakyan said he had to overcome a lot of difficulties while shooting the scenes. "We did not have precedent of this genre on our market; on the other hand, it was necessary to meet the expectations of the spectator," he said.

The authors of the film did not use special effects. They focused on the actors' play, attempting to bring the scenario close to the reality.

After the premiere at the Moscow cinema, the film will be also screened in the other towns of Armenia, as well as in the CIS countries, the United States and Canada.
