Samsung is expected to kick ahead of Apple's iPhones on the Armenian market, the head of Samsung Electronics official representation in Armenia, Andranik Shahbazyan, has said.

The company unveiled today its new model - Samsung Galaxy SII - which is already on sale in Armenia.

The device has a dual-core processor equipped with a new operating system; its screen is the most up-to-date on the entire smartphone market.

The company believes the new model will have a great success on the Armenian market, given that the smart-phone sale in the country grew 300% in 2010 (mostly thanks to the Samsung Galaxy S model). Shahbazyan noted that this model's global sales exceeded $10 million last year.

Samsung Galaxy SII is expected to sell even better than its predecessor. The company is hopeful it will become the most successful and the best selling smartphone in Armenia.
