Google hits new record: one billion visitors each month
The search giant Google has set a new milestone, it has more than a billion visitors in May, According to comScore.
It is said to be the first time an Internet company has hit that benchmark.
Citing comScore's most recent data , Bbrothersoft.com reported that Google’s unique visitors per month have increased 8.4% to just more than one billion over the past year. Microsoft websites were reportedly closing in on the milestone with about 900,000 "unique visitors" in May and Facebook had the third most visited web addresses topped other online venues in terms of how long people lingered after they arrived.
Since 2006, ComScore began measuring global unique-visitor traffic on websites, when it said Google had about 496 million unique visitors per month. Google spokesman declined to comment.
