Azeris slam Google for translating 'Qarabag' as 'Armenia'
A group of Azerbaijanis have slammed the search giant Google for what they consider an improper translation of the word 'Qarabag'.
"Google Translate has a bizarre mistake in its translation of the Azerbaijani place name Qarabag into English. The online dictionary gives the English for 'Qarabag' as 'Armenia'," says an article on News Az.
The author of the report rules out the possibility of a technical error given that the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan is over the territory of Nagorno Karabakh.
The Azerbaijani news website further calls on its readers to report the "error" to Google administrators.
