Sex Horror, new performance by Vardan Petrosyan, due in Yerevan in August

Famous French-Armenian actor Vardan Petrosyan is planning to stage his new performance in Yerevan in August.

The performance titled Sex Horror has been written in Paris.

At a news conference on Wednesday, the actor introduced his new work. He said its title had been changed several times before he invented what he called the most "cruel" characterization.

"After all, it is a reflection of the reality, be it though comic and full of puns, but there are in-depth ideas there. It contains, for example, sketches about prostitutes," he said, adding that the final part of the performance reflects the relationship between the government and people, reducing it to the relationship between a prostitute and a client. "That may spur laughter or evoke smiles, but I have tried to find in-depth ideas behind everything."

The actor further said that the stage play will be accompanied by a film screening.

The performances will run on August 9 and 10 at the Hakob Paronyan State Musical Theatre.
