"Mommy" short winner of Dusseldorf festival (video)

"Mommy" (Mummy), a short film by the young Russian-Armenian film director Arik Manukyan, has won the "Horizon" annual short films festival in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The film vividly portrays single mothers' problems in Russia and the authorities' total indifference to them, says a press release by the "No silence" youth initiative.
