Google chrome leading web browser in Armenia

Google Chrome appears to be a leading web browser in Armenia, a recent study suggests.

The Russian online newspaper Gazeta.ru has conducted a probe into web browsers' prevalence in world countries and found out that Chrome is the third in popularity after Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Google's browser is especially widespread in South America. As to the post-Soviet countries, it is widely used in Armenia and Moldova. The browser's popularity is be growing steadily; it is said to cover 20% of the market.

The Internet Explorer is a leading browser in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia. Mozilla Firefox which ranks the second is popular in the former Soviet countries and Europe.

Considering the wide choice of web browsers since 1993, the Russian publication suggests introducing a special subject on browser geography into the schools' curricula.
