Obesity may cause infertility in males, says doctor
Obesity may cause serious hormone disorders in males, contributing to infertility, endocrinologist Bamine Baghramyan has told reporters.
At a news conference on Wednesday, the doctor voiced concerns over the diseases caused by excessive weigh, saying that people with obesity-related problems very often fail to turn to doctors in time.
She said obesity can transform male hormones into female hormones, suppressing sperm development, growth and potential.
"That's to say, it may cause infertility," she said, adding that disease may cause similar problems in women too.
