Armenia’s contestant is in Crimea for New Wave 2011

The rehearsal of the New Wave 2011 junior song contest is taking place in Artek Camp in the Crimea with a 12-year-old girl named Lidushik representing Armenia.

According to the news agency BELTA, the rehearsals will take place every day.

Organizers attach importance also to the image of the participants, together with the songs they will perform.

The participants have already introduced themselves at a “Meetings’ Evening” and given presents to each other.

The opening of the contest will take place on August 20 when the participants will performs songs from well-known animations and films.

On the second day of the contest they will present a unique composition, while the third day will be the final: the winners will receive theirs awards.

The award-giving ceremony will be followed by a closing gala concert.

The winners of the first three places will be awarded by Faience Wave statues and expensive gifts.

Only one participant will receive the Diamond Wave that symbolizes the sympathy of the audience.

The Armenian contestant will compete with her peers from Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Sweden.
