Charles Aznavur returning to 'Olympia'

Renowned French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour is turning a new leaf in his career.

The 87-year-old is going to release a CD that will contain 12 new songs.

In the meantime, Don Quixote Publishing House will print his new book titled From One Door to Another. On September 7, the singer is expected to return to one of the oldest concert halls in Paris - Olympia – where he last performed over 30 years ago.
After Paris concerts (that will last one month), Aznavur will travel around France on a tour. He will then give concerts in Latin America, Canada and other countries.

In an interview with the Russian newspaper Izvestia, the singer spoke of his everyday activities. He said he likes reading books by La Fontaine, Molier, Hugo and Sacha Guitri.

Aznavur said he is afraid of death and wouldn't like to breathe his last breath on stage like Molier. He said he'd prefer to be surrounded by relatives when departing this life.
