Armenian dramatist on born poets, painters and fanatics

The problem of domestic violence has always existed, but has not been widely discussed. Now, however, is it more and more widely discussed, the psychologist Samvel Khudoyan told journalists Sept. 12, as he spoke of domestic violence.

The dramatist Karine Khodikyan shared the psychologist's opinion. Some are born poets or painters, some are born fanatics, she said.

Organizations dealing with the problem, as well as mass media, have much to do to shape a value system that would rule out aggression and violence, Khodikyan said. She believes that social problems are the main causes of aggression and violence. "A man sees he works all day long but is unable to sustain his family – it is a cause of aggression too," Khodikyan said.
