Ancient dress found in Armenia

One of the most ancient pieces of clothing, a straw dress, has been found in Armenia.

The age of the dress, 5,065±15 years, has been determined at the University of California. due to the unique microclimate the dress is well-preserved, which will enable archeologists to find out what a more or less well-to-do woman could afford in the 39th century BC.

Several months ago, in an Areni cave, archeologists found the most ancient footwear and, later, jugs for wine. Archeologists say the research will enable them to know more about our ancestors and their everyday life.
