Turkish, Mexican journalists honored with Dink award

The chief editor of the Turkish newspaper Taraf, Ahmet Altan, and a Mexican journalist, Lydia Cacho, have been honored with the Hrant Dink international award in Turkey.

According to Anadolu news agency, the award ceremony was held in Istanbul's Cemal Reshit Rey Concert hall.

The wife of the slain editor-in-chief of the Armenian-Turkish weekly Agos, Rachel Dink delivered an opening speech, addressing the participants in the Armenian, Turkish and Kurdish languages.

Rachel Dink is the President of the International Hrant Dink Foundation which issues the award.
