Armenian delegation visits Bavaria

An Armenian delegation headed by Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan will be on a visit to Germany, Sept. 26 to 28.

The Armenian delegation has been invited to Germany by the University of Applied Sciences of Weihenstephan and the Ministry of Education and Culture of Bavaria. Chairman of the Pyunik Fund L. Sargsyan and Rector of the Agrarian University of Armenia A. Tarverdyan are among the delegation members.

The Armenian delegation is to hold official meetings with the president of the University of Applied Sciences of Weihenstephan, Bavarian ministers of education and agriculture and chairman of the committee on education of the Bavarian Parliament.

The sides will discuss the results of cooperation established between the University of Applied Sciences of Weihenstephan and the Agrarian University of Armenia in 2000. Specifically, the sides will discuss issues of organizing post-graduate courses in agrarian management and practical work in Germany and expanding bilateral cooperation.

The Armenian delegation and Bavarian government and parliament members will also discuss cooperation with Armenia's higher schools and organization of regular practical work for Armenian students in Germany.
