Seminars to introduce young Armenians to their roots

An Armenian initiative called Baze Club has launched a series of seminars, aimed at introducing the Armenian culture and history to the young generation.

The first seminar was held on Wednesday. Titled “We” the series of seminars will be organized once in two weeks and will discuss various cultural-historical monuments in various regions of Armenia.

Samvel Mertarjyan, the chief of the Baze Club program, said that the idea belongs to the participants of the program.

“They would be interested in the area during hiking in various places, and we decided to organize such seminars to make as many youth aware of the secrets of our homeland as possible,” Mertarjyan told Tert.am.

Vachagan Vahradyan, a mathematician, who has been for several years examining the Karahunj monument in Syunik province, also highlighted the importance of the seminars.

Vahradyan said that it is a program of self-evaluation that will allow the Armenian youth to see their roots and will strengthen their vision of a bright future.
