Winner of Museum Night to visit Yerevan museums for free

The winners of the “Museum Night” contest are already known, with the most active participant being given a chance to visit museums Yerevan for free throughout the year.

One hundred active participants of the event received their prizes on Tuesday. The only family that had managed to visit all 28 museums in Yerevan was the family of Ayvazyans who won the main prize – a chance to visit museums for free during a year.

“I love going to museums and that the Museum Night gave us a wonderful change,” Aida Ayvazyan told Tert.am.

“Together with my son and daughter we decided to visit as many museums as possible. Then we learned about the contest and in the end we continued visiting museums due to excitement,” she added.

The Museum Night is an annual event when all the museums in Yerevan stay open till morning while the entrance is free. This year it took place on May 14.

Aida Ayvazyan’s daughter, Nare, in turn, said that it is very important for her to have now a permission to visit all the museums in Yerevan for free throughout a year.

“That is very good. Now I will be able to visit any museum during rest and familiarize myself [with artifacts],” said Nare.

“I like [Sergei] Parajanov’s house-museum the most and will definitely go there,” she added.
