HighFest provoked great interest among youth, say organizers

Having summed up the results of the ninth International Theatrical Festival High Fest, the organizers say the event provoked a great interest among the youth.

"It's very commendable that a 'festival audience' capable of telling the difference between ordinary spectacles and festivals is coming to light in Yerevan. " HighFest President Artur Ghukasayan told reporters on Saturday.

"Next to our permanent audience we saw this year new people who attended almost all the spectacles; it is really gratifying," he said.
The organizers note that the Armenian spectator was particularly interested in Credo Theatre's "Father is Always Right" and Billy Cowie's Tango de Soledad (Tango of Solitude).

As for the local producers' works, they find Vahan Badalyan's Seagull and Mihr Theatre's "Plays about Death" to be the most attractive shows of HighFest 2011 .
