Elena Bashkirova to perform in Yerevan

The renowned pianist Elena Bashkirova is to give a concert with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia, in Yerevan, Oct. 18.

Her concert is part of the Yerevan Prospects festival.

Bashkirova will perform Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms.

"Our mission is making as many celebrities as possible known to the Armenian audience. We are proud of being able to invite Elena Bashkirova. She is a public figure and is one of the fashion setters in classical music," Stepan Rostmyan, Art Director of the festival, told journalists.

This is Bashkirova's first tour of Armenia. "I am happy to participate in this wonderful festival in this wonderful city. I know about Armenian composers, but I mostly perform German ones," Bashkirova said.
