Armenian NPP not affected by Turkish earthquake
Referring to the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority (TAEK), the Turkey-based Zaman daily reports that the Oct 23 earthquake in Turkey affected the Armenian nuclear-power plant (NPP).
According to TAEK, the Armenian NPP staff is now repairing the alleged damage.
The TAEK even claims a radiation leakage at the Armenian NPP, which, however, does not pose any threat to the environment.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia assured Tert.am that the earthquake in Turkey's territory did not have any impact on the Armenian NPP. The NPP is normally operating.
