PM meets with Armenian IT manages trained in Stanford University
Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with the three winners of an annual contest of internet technologies managers who participated in a training in Stanford University.
According to the government website, the managers spoke about the two-week training and shared their impressions.
Particularly, they said that during the training they got familiarized with the work process and the management of leading US IT companies.
The winners also said that obtaining applied knowledge in IT contributes greatly to increasing the qualifications of acting managers.
They also promised to share the knowledge and skills obtained due to the training with Armenian IT managers.
Further, they said that they are planning to organize an IT event called “Start-up weekend” in Yerevan in December.
They also presented to the prime minister the activities of their companies in IT sector.
Tigran Sargsyan, highlighting the importance of the IT sector, said he was glad the trainees are that much excited upon their return.
“That encourages us too, so that we will continue this work,” said Sargsyan, adding that it will also prove a impetus IT exhibits in Armenia.
Attending the meeting were also Hovik Musaelyan, Director of Synopsis Armenia Company, the initiator of the contest, and Ralph Yirikian, the General Director of VivaCell-MTS.
