Prominent Armenian actresses receive medals on their anniversary

Armenian Peoples Actress Svetlana Grigoryan and Armenia’s Honored Actress Zhenya Avetisyan have been awarded with the Yerevan Mayor Gold Medal on the occasion of their 80th birthday.
According to the website of the Yerevan Municipality, the medals were handed by the acting Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.
Congratulating the actresses, Margaryan said that they have had significant merits and an invaluable contribution both in the theatre and in the upbringing of generations.
“Applauds of the audience and overcrowded halls have been your homage. We all love you very much and are expressing our deepest gratitude that today you are next to us and continue to keep our theatrical culture rich,” said he.
The actresses, in turn, thanked Margaryan for the warm reception and good wishes. They talked about current problems theaters are facing, hoping that the Yerevan Mayor will help solve them.
