Yerevan, Cairo to develop joint collaboration

Yerevan Deputy Mayor Vano Vardanyan has hosted a meeting with the Egyptian deputy minister of culture, Hussam Nasar, to discuss plans on the organization of Egyptian Culture Days in Armenia.

Vardanyan highly praised the warm and friendly ties between capitals Yerevan and Cairo, expressing satisfaction with the high organizational level of the Armenian Culture Days in Egypt last year. He promised that Yerevan will do its best to organize the Egyptian culture days in a proper manner.

Sharing his impressions of Yerevan, Nassari said that upon his return to Egypt he will submit to the Cairo mayor proposals to develop cultural, urban development and tourism collaboration with the Armenian capital. He further proposed that both countries Foreign Ministries consider possibilities of making Yerevan and Cairo sister cities.

At the end, the parties agreed to develop more specific collaboration plans in future.

Yerevan will host the Egyptian Culture days between November 4 and 11. The program includes performances, book presentations and other cultural events.
