Cultural events marking World Youth Day and International Students' Day in Armenia

Nov 10 a concert by the Armenian crooner Tata Simonyan inaugurated a concert series on the occasion of the World Youth Day and International Students' Day in Yerevan.

The concert series was organized by the Youth Foundation of Armenia (YFA) and the Youth Organization of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the concert. On behalf of Armenia's president, RPA and on his personal behalf, he congratulated the young people. He noted that the young people's potential will help Armenia make great progress.

In his congratulatory address, Karen Avagyan, Head of the RPA Youth Organization and YFA Coordinator, noted that the government views young people's spiritual and physical development as a great social value. He urged them to gain knowledge.

The concert series will continue at the Gabriel Sundukyan theater, Nov. 15. Rock fans may attend a concert.

On Nov. 17, International Students' Day, at the Aram Khachatryan hall, the State youth orchestra of Armenia (soloist Nikolay Madoyan, Director Sergey Smbatyan) will perform Aram Khachatryan's concerto for the violin. On Nov. 20, at the Komitas chamber music hall will host a song concert.
