Web TV launches first Armenian online film festival

The Armenian Internet TV channel Webtbtv.am launched today the first ever Armenian online film festival.

WebTsiran (WebApricot), which began at 3:00 pm Yerevan time, is expected feature more than 35 short films every 6-8 weeks.

The maximum duration of the films is 20 minutes. The authors' list also includes names of Armenian film-makers residing in the United States and Russia.

The film presentation schedule will be available on the Facebook pages of Web TV and the Golden Apricot International Film Festival. The best films will be selected through an online voting. The top two films will get rewards equivalent to $1,000 and $500. The award ceremony is due on December 25. The organizers also promise incentive bonuses.
