Government to donate AMD 172m to Junior Eurovision organizers

The Armenian Government is going to donate 172 million Drams (about $4,500) to the Junior Eurovision Foundation.

At the cabinet meeting on Thursday, Minister of Finance Vache Gabrielyan said the sum will be allocated from the government reserves. The minister noted that the funds received from sponsors and other sources are not enough for the proper organization of an international contest of this kind.

The 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest is due in Yerevan's Sport and Complex Center between December 2-3.

It comes after last year's Armenian participant, Vladimir Arzumanyan, became the top winner of the contest with his song Mama.
