Babajanyan Fest to kick off in Yerevan in late November

Yerevan will host a festival of composing art called Babajanyan Fest from November 21 to December 19.

According to a press release by the Ministry of Culture, the festival is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of prominent Armenian composer Arno Babajanyan.

The festival will take place under the patronage of Armenia’s president and is organized by Armenia’s Ministry of Culture, Armenian Union of Composers and Musicians, and Sergei Smbatyan, Art Director and Conductor of the Armenian State Youth Orchestra.

Six concerts will be held within the festival.

The opening will take place in Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall at 9pm on November 21. Other concerts will take place on November 22, December 5 and 11 (Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall), and on December 15 and 19 in Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall.

The closing of the festival will take place on December 19.
