Art critics may be forgotten soon – Armenian singer

Low-quality music has filled the TV screen, and people are accustomed to it, the renowned Armenian musician Vahagn Hayrapetyan told journalists in Yerevan.

It is a temporary phenomenon, however, and things will get right soon, he added.

The singer Lilit Pipoyan disagrees with Mr. Hayrapetyan. If things go on like this, she said, art critics will be forgotten in Armenia in a few years.

"When I compare today and yesterday, I can say that it is much worse today than yesterday," she said.

The musicians have never been invited to take part in election campaigns. Even if they received invitations, they would never accepted them.

Vahagn Hayrapetyan and Lilit Pipoyan will give concerts at the Gafesjian Center for Arts in Yerevan, on Dec. 9 and 10 respectively.
