Babajanyan Fest second concert due in Yerevan on Nov 22

Babajanyan Fest, the second professional music festival dedicated to the 20^th century renowned Armenian composer and pianist, Arno Babajanyan, is starting in Yerevan later today.

The first concert of this year's festival is due at the Arno Babajanyan concert hall at 7:00 pm.

The program includes:

Arno Babajanyan: Six Pictures for Piano

Violin Sonata

String Quartet No. 3 (dedicated to Dmitry Schostakovich's memory)

Piano trio

Soloists: Armen Babakhanyan (piano)

Aram Talalyan (cello)

Jemma Abrahamyan (violin)

Stepan Khalatyan (violin)

Gor Hovhannisyan (alt)

The next concerts are scheduled for December 5 and 11 at the Arno Babajanyan concert hall, and December 15 and 19 - at the Aram Khachatryan concert hall.

At the closing concert on December 19, the youth orchestra (art director: Sergey Smbatyan) and pop singers will perform Babajanyan's most popular songs.
