Russian book house to open in Gyumri by 2012

A Russian book house is set to be opened in Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri at the close of 2011, according to the Youth Union of CIS States.

The book house will be engaged in public and cultural activities and will generally implement the programs by the Russian book house opened in Yerevan on October 7 this year.

It will publish a monthly to be called Russian World of Armenia that will cover urgent issues related to the preservation of the Russian language and culture in Armenia.

The book house will also incorporate a discussion club and a public media centre to be called Rosia, with an objective to hold discussions on Armenian-Russian relations.
