Armenia participates in archeological fair in Italy

Armenia’s embassy in Rome has participated in an archeological tourism fair held in the Italian city of Paestum from November 17-20.

According to a press release by Armenia’s Foreign Minstry, the Armenian pavilion was set up through the support of Armenia’s Ministry of Culture and Armeina’s embassy in Rome.

Titled Borsa Mediterranea del Turismo Archeologico the annual fair was orgnized under the high auspices of the Italian president. A total of 200 archeological companies from 22 countries were taking part in it.

The Armenian pavilion exhibited artefacts of the Armenian rich historical, cultural and archeological heritage, as well information about upcoming events dedicated to the 500th anniversary of typography in Armenia.

The management of the fair confirmed an early reached agreement with the Armenian embassy there, according to which, Armenia will given the status of “official guest” at the next, 15th fair.

The new status implies wider opportunities in terms of participation and a central role.
