Middle East Council of Churches elects Catholicos Aram I as president

Catholicos Aram I of the Holy See of Cilicia has been re-elected as the president of the Middle East Council of Churches.

The Council convenes its conferences every four years.

A holy mass by Greek churches marked the opening of this year's event.

At the first session of the conference, Aram I addressed the Council's difficulties and challenges in the past four years.
