Scientists at the University of Glasgow say they have found a key genetic indicator of how long an individual will live.
According to BBC News, they say the lengths of telomeres, pieces of DNA, could indicate whether a young bird is likely to live to a ripe old age.
The discovery could eventually help predict human longevity.
