Financing of scientific programs high on Armenia Science Committee agenda
Contests for financing of scientific programs have been high on the agenda of the State Committee for Science this year, Committee Chairman Samvel Harutyunyan told journalists on Wednesday.
Six programs implemented as part of Armenian-French scientific cooperation, and four research programs have been financed this year.
“The Committee plans to hold a contest for assistance to research projects implemented by young scientists,” Harutyunyan said.
“Among the principal programs is also a contest for financing research projects supposed to produce practical results and other international projects,” he added.
With the Committee’s assistance, the Center for Ecological Noosphere Studies, Academy of Sciences of Armenia, in cooperation with the Golos Armenii (Voice of Armenia) Russia-language newspaper, has launched the publication of the Most (Bridge) popular science appendix, which informed readers of achievements of world science, technology and medicine.

Harutyunyan noted that the infrastructure for launching the AREAL laser-linear accelerator is being prepared as well.
