Armenian psychologist explains reasons of stress
Any transitions, including those related to weather, cause a stress in human organisms, according to Karine Nalchajyan, a psychologist.
At a news conference on Tuesday, the specialist addressed the seasonal changes on humans, noting that the organism’s internal ability to resist stresses is often limited.
“There are people who are more dependent on the weather. That is, we differ from one another with sensations and moods,” she said, emphasizing that weather changes are of a minor significance to humans.
Nalchajyan noted that social welfare normally appears to be a greater stressor.
“A human being wants to live in dignity. It is obvious that a large number of people in Armenia are now facing economic problems,” she said.
“The lack of ability to self-expression is a serious stressor,” Nalchajyan continued “One suffers a serious stress when, having a talent or abilities and being employable, he cannot find an area for self-expression”.
Another stressor is the lack of justice, the psychologist said, adding that the fact causes most people to think that the injustice around makes them feel righteous.
“Psychologists say if you want the world to become just, be just yourself,” she added.
At the end, she called on the society to take a more adequate approach to the existing problems and stressed the importance of making efforts to overcome stresses.
